Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX to provide reliable, professional security services at a designated site. The role offers fixed shifts and flexible opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay is $17.25 per hour, with requirements including 21+ years, valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, and 3+ years in law enforcement/corrections/military or 5+ years armed security.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide quality customer service in security settings.
• Experience in patrols and incident response is advantageous.
• Willingness to work fixed shifts and pickup additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, delivery zones, and surrounding perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and client procedures regarding the authorized carrying and handling of assigned equipment.
