Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. This role offers reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts across sites.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of law enforcement or related experience, Texas Level III Armed Certification, and be 21+. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs participation is expected.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and procedures.
• Maintain required licensing and carry authorized equipment in accordance with laws and Allied Universal policies.
