You will admit and prepare records, maintain bed availability, and coordinate with nursing and other departments to ensure smooth resident admissions while upholding privacy and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions.
• Math skills including fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written instructions.
• Typing at least 35 words per minute and use of a 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Interview residents, guardians, or sponsors and obtain required admission information and signatures.
• Assist in resident admission orientation and prepare identification records.
• Maintain accurate records of available beds and manage admissions, transfers, and discharges per policies.
• Coordinate with interdepartmental staff and provide admission information packets.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and handle sensitive data.
• Ensure required permits, releases, and authorizations are properly signed.
• Notify nursing staff when residents arrive and escort to rooms.
