Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is hiring a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor designated streets and campus areas, issuing citations and assisting with parking operations. The role requires independent judgment, strong customer service, and the ability to operate a handheld computer. You must be able to work in all weather and stand/walk for long periods.

Salary is $20.00 per hour with Tue-Sat 8:00am–4:30pm shifts. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be able to exercise sound independent judgment and maintain customer service.
• Geography knowledge of the enforcement area.
• Hazards and safety precautions awareness.
• Ability to use a handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets, lots, garages to enforce parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions about directions, events, and policies.
• Issue citations/warnings; impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Assist maintenance with parking equipment and meter upkeep.
• Assist in collection of parking revenues and fees from meters and pay stations.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and permit sales activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
