Job summary

SP+ Corporation is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets and lots for policy compliance and assist customers with directions, events, and parking policies.

Responsibilities include issuing citations, managing vehicle impounds, and supporting maintenance, events, and permit sales. The role requires independent judgment, collaboration with staff, and comfort working in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the geography of the area they are enforcing.
• Ability to use a hand held computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, and other public areas to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized handheld device or manual tickets; impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work independently and exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with people.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance, including meters and pay/display machines.
• Assist in the collection and security of all parking revenues and fees.
• Assist event staff with parking for events, including setup, traffic control, and lot usage.
• Assist office staff with permit sales, data entry, mailings, and frontline customer service.
• Other related duties as assigned.
