The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources' Jordan Lake State Park is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician II to handle a range of trades and park upkeep. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and auto mechanics, with opportunities to supervise staff or volunteers on special projects.

Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including weekends. A valid US driver’s license is required, and the position involves outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1 year of progressive experience in trades, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or auto mechanics preferred.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks and operate related equipment.

Aufgaben

• Perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and vehicle maintenance.
• Operate large and small equipment; assist with housekeeping and grounds upkeep.
• Purchase resources per state policies and maintain operational records.
• May supervise temporary staff, volunteers or community service participants on projects.
