Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician III to maintain state park grounds, buildings and facilities at Jones Lake State Park near Elizabethtown. The role supervises staff and performs a range of skilled trades, from carpentry to HVAC, and may require certifications and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma AND two years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require EPA certification (Type I/II/III or Universal) as required by regulations.
• Valid driver’s license within the United States or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state park grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Supervise one full-time staff and multiple seasonal staff.
• Perform skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and auto mechanics.
