The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) for Fort Macon State Park. This role involves performing a range of semi-skilled trades, from plumbing and carpentry to electrical work and basic auto mechanics, working both independently and with a team.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., with potential evenings, holidays or weekends.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED plus two years in the trades.
• EPA Type I/II/Universal certification may be required.
• Experience reading blueprints/structural specs.

Mansioni

• Perform semi-skilled trades in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and auto mechanics.
• Operate and repair a variety of tools and equipment.
• Maintain preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and facilities.
• Purchase resources following state policies.
• May supervise temporary staff or volunteers on special projects.
