Job summary

FedEx Office in Coronado, CA is seeking a team member to coordinate inbound/outbound package activities within the center. You will process, stage and deliver parcels using an electronic tracking system with limited supervision.

You will interface with customers, provide service, assist with shipping methods, and operate POS terminals. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and the ability to learn new software quickly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum six months of related experience (Warehouse/Hospitality preferred)
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Customer-focused and results-driven
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Ability to pass OSHA certification for equipment
• Ability to move 75 pounds unassisted
• Stamina to walk up to 10 miles per shift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all shipping-related services and activities
• Maintain log of incoming/outgoing parcels and prepare for pickup
• Use proprietary software and equipment for job functions
• Provide customer service and determine appropriate shipping methods
• Assemble parcels for shipping and wrap items for containers
• Operate pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment
• Follows supervisor instructions and assists other team members
• Train center team members and handle POS close-out procedures
• Perform administrative duties and assist with inventory control
