Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials. You will assess donors, determine eligibility, and support the plasma donation process to help create life-changing therapies.

Reporting to the Center Manager, you will respond to adverse events, review lab results, and collaborate with physicians to ensure donor safety. The role offers predictable scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active state EMT licensure or equivalent professional license.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Familiarity with donor eligibility and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage consent, medical history, and testing processes.
• Monitor donor reactions and respond to medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health initiatives.
• Assist with EHS guidance and incident reporting where applicable.
