Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Paramedic for full-time day shift in the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care, perform EKGs, start IVs and IOs, draw blood, and transport patients under the supervision of RN and physicians.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safety across age groups. Join a dedicated ED team and contribute to high-quality, timely care within a busy, stroke and STEMI capable facility.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of intramuscular, sublingual, oral, rectal, nebulizers, intravenous meds and related protocols.
• Able to perform EKGs, Foley catheters, start IVs/IOs and draw blood.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; able to work with RN/physician teams.
• Ability to multitask with deadlines and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Must perform EKGs and Foley catheterizations.
• Start IVs/IOs and draw blood.
• Transport patients to other departments.
• Monitor arrhythmias and report changes to Charge Nurse/doctor.
• Provide safe patient care with age-appropriate, culturally aware approach.
• Collaborate with ED Providers and support staff.
