Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is looking for a Paramedic for full-time day shifts in the Emergency Department. The role requires strong patient care skills, teamwork, and the ability to respond to direction from RNs and physicians.

Candidates should hold BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications on hire; NIH certification is preferred and should be obtained within the allotted timeframe. This position supports a busy ED with a focus on quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• GA Paramedic license preferred; National Registry acceptable.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required on hire; NIH certification preferred with timeline.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and venous access procedures (IVs/IOs) and blood draws.
• Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects and interactions.
• Provide patient care with age-appropriate, culturally aware approach.
• Transport patients between departments and monitor for arrhythmias.
• Assist ED team with multi-task priorities and effective communication.
• Utilize Microsoft Office for documentation and coordination.
