Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department. This full-time day shift role requires a team-focused provider who delivers safe, patient-centered care and collaborates with nurses and physicians to support acute conditions.

Expect to perform EKGs, start IVs/IOs, draw blood, and transport patients while maintaining effective communication and clinical vigilance in a busy 38-bed ED that handles high patient volume and diverse acuities.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required; NIH preferred and to be obtained if not current.
• License as Paramedic in GA with National Registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and start IVs, IOs and draw blood as needed.
• Place Foley catheters and monitor patients for arrhythmias.
• Transport patients to other departments and coordinate care with ED staff.
• Communicate clearly with RN, physicians and team; manage multiple priorities.
