Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator (School Aide) for the Todd Beamer High School functional core program (FCP) to support students with identified disabilities in learning and life-skill activities.

You will assist with instructional and non-instructional tasks, including feeding, toileting, catheterization, medications, and lifting under RN supervision, and help implement behavior plans while maintaining a positive rapport with students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• And one of the following: AA degree, or 48 college-level credits, or pass paraeducator assessment test.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.
• Experience/training in reading instruction, remediation, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with meeting IEP goals and keep accurate records.
• Prepare classroom and materials as directed.
• Maintain clean and safe facilities.
