Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• AA degree or 48 credits or 72 credits or pass paraeducator assessment.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.
• Experience and/or training in reading instruction, remediation, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals and/or groups in specific skills as directed by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in administering special instructional and/or behavioral programs.
• Communicate with related resource personnel and staff.
• Supervise students in accordance with district policies.
• Plan daily/weekly with teachers and staff servicing the same students.
• Assist teachers with record keeping and communications with parents.
• Assist with room maintenance and manage books and equipment.
• Perform instructional clerical tasks and support substitute teachers.
