Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for the Functional Core Program to work 1:1 with a student. The role supports students with disabilities in functional life skills and health care tasks under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEP goals, preparing materials, maintaining safety, assisting with feeding, hygiene, and medical procedures as directed by a nurse, and collaborating with staff to support learning and behavior plans.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Plus one option: AA degree or 48 college credits or 72 college credits or pass ParaPro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with IEP goals under certificated teacher supervision.
• Prepare classroom materials as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe facilities and assist with personal care tasks as needed.
• Administer or assist with medical procedures under nurse direction.
