Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Manager of the Palliative Care Program to lead clinical operations, ensure quality patient care, and align with Mercy’s care model. This full-time night shift role partners with the Medical Director to guide an interdisciplinary team.

You will oversee the Palliative Care Coordinator team, drive program goals and metrics, and uphold licensure and certification standards to support compassionate, safe, and cost-conscious care.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) or within 1 year of hire
• Basic Life Support certification or completed within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 3 years of Palliative Care experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Directs the inpatient Palliative Care Program in collaboration with the Medical Director
• Establishes program goals and outcome metrics aligned with Mercy’s strategic direction
• Oversees the Palliative Care Coordinator team and daily operations
• Ensures quality patient-focused care and adherence to best practices
• Maintains program leadership, documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration
