Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager of the Palliative Care Program to lead inpatient services, collaborate with the Medical Director, and optimize the Mercy Care Model for quality patient care, safety and cost efficiency.

The role oversees the Palliative Care Coordinator team, drives program goals, and aligns with Mercy's strategic direction, with night shift responsibilities and a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN license current in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• 3 years of Palliative Care experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• CHPN certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification or course completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the inpatient Palliative Care Program alongside the Medical Director.
• Establish program goals and outcome metrics aligned with Mercy’s strategy.
• Oversee the Palliative Care Coordinator team and ensure multidisciplinary care.
• Ensure quality patient-focused care, safety, and financial performance.
