Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager of the Palliative Care Program to lead the inpatient service, directing the team and coordinating with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The role focuses on establishing goals, measuring outcomes, aligning with Mercy's strategic direction, and advancing best practices while managing the Palliative Care Coordinator team.

Excellent clinical judgment, leadership experience, RN licensure in Missouri, CHPN or BLS readiness, and a passion

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 3 years of Palliative Care experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• CHPN certification or to be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Clinical excellence, documentation, EMR proficiency, teamwork and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inpatient Palliative Care Program in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• Establish program goals and outcome metrics aligned with Mercy’s strategy.
• Manage and coordinate the Palliative Care Coordinator team.
• Promote a multidisciplinary approach to quality patient care and safety.
