Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Palliative Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care to patients with life-limiting or complex conditions. The role emphasizes symptom management, education, and collaboration with the IDT to optimize comfort and quality of life.

The NP will perform routine and urgent assessments, coordinate with the Medical Director, and help families navigate treatment goals within a flexible schedule and service area across Dallas, TX and surrounding locations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Active CNS or Nurse Practitioner license in state of employment.
• Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency assessments.
• Collaborates with Medical Director, IDT, and PCS teams.
• Educates patients and caregivers on care plans and symptom management.
• Maintains accurate records and supports care coordination.
