Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Nurse Practitioner - PPV dedicated to compassionate, interdisciplinary patient care in palliative and hospice programs. The NP will perform routine assessments, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the IDT to support symptom management and care planning in alignment with Compassus standards.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing with an active NP license and applicable certifications; flexibility to meet agency needs, including after-hours visits, is

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Nurse Practitioner license active in state of employment.
• Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency assessments in Hospice/Palliative care settings.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, Attending Physician, DCS and IDT; educate patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliant documentation and billing practices.
• Adhere to flexible scheduling, including after-hours visits and weekends as needed.
