United Future in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Production Supervisor for second shift in the paint operations department. You will lead one Team Leader and ~25 employees, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity within a unionized automotive manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include staffing, line performance monitoring, and coordinating with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve issues and improve processes. Strong leadership and coaching are required.

Competenze

• Experience supervising in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Union environment experience with attendance and discipline.
• Automotive painting or plastics production background is preferred.
• Willingness to work second shift and overtime.
• Strong safety, quality, and productivity focus.

Mansioni

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Lead Team Leader and 25 employees in loading, unloading, inventory, and quality functions.
• Assign labor and resources to meet daily production requirements.
• Monitor paint-line performance, waste, downtime; take corrective action.
• Promote safety culture and PPE, chemical-handling, and regulations.
• Maintain coating quality by partnering with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Production.
• Support troubleshooting of automated paint line, robotics, conveyors, controls.
• Ensure materials are staged and tracked to support operations.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and handovers.
• Train employees and enforce standardized work in a unionized environment.
• Complete production reports and drive Lean, 5S, root-cause improvements.
