Key People is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift in its paint operations at a unionized automotive manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role oversees one Team Leader and about 25 production employees, directing safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and engagement across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, and material handling.

You will monitor line performance, collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve

Qualifikationen

• Supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Leadership of teams and performance management in shift operations.
• Experience with unionized environments preferred.
• Knowledge of production metrics, quality controls, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with safety, labor rules, and PPE standards.

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Lead one Team Leader and ~25 production employees across multiple functions.
• Allocate labor and resources to meet daily production needs.
• Monitor line performance, quality, scrap, downtime, and material usage; take corrective action.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot automated paint line, robotics, conveyors, sensors, and controls.
• Ensure proper staging and control of paint, components, and materials.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and effective handovers to the next shift.
• Train and develop employees, enforce standardized work, and address performance issues.
• Prepare production reports and drive Lean, 5S, and root-cause problem solving.
