The role requires hands-on leadership, staffing and resource allocation, and monitoring line performance and quality.

Qualifikationen

• Experience supervising teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing setting and familiarity with collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of automotive painting processes and paint-quality requirements.
• Strong coaching, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations to ensure safe, efficient execution of the production schedule.
• Lead a Team Leader and ~25 employees across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, material handling, and quality functions.
• Assign labor and resources to meet daily production requirements and maintain shift continuity.
• Monitor paint-line performance, quality, scrap, downtime and material usage; take corrective action as needed.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures, PPE, chemical handling, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Production to resolve defects and variation in coating quality.
• Support troubleshooting of the automated paint line, robotics, conveyors, sensors, and controls.
• Ensure paint, components, packaging, and materials are staged and tracked for uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings, communicate priorities, and handover to the next shift.
• Train and develop employees, enforce standardized work, and apply workplace policies in a union environment.
• Complete production reports and drive Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
