Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in participating schools. You will support elementary, middle, and/or high school students to improve academic achievement, attendance, and behavior while partnering with teachers to plan in-class support.

Program includes 2–4 weeks of training, a biweekly living stipend, and access to AmeriCorps education benefits. Start by July/August 2025 and contribute to a diverse, impact-driven team.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required
• Eligible to work in the U.S. (citizen or permanent resident)
• Able to begin by July/August 2025

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success, attendance, and behavior.
• Plan and monitor student progress with teachers and school staff.
• Create engaging, safe learning spaces and collaborate with teachers on instruction.
• Support extended day and after-school programs and student clubs.
