Job summary

Target’s Stores Executive Internship is a paid 40 hr/week program designed to develop and prepare you for a store leadership role (Assistant Store Manager). You will work closely with managers and team members to learn how Target’s retail business operates and how to excel in a management position.

You will experience multiple areas of the store business, primarily leading the team, driving store priorities, and delivering great guest service while developing leadership skills for a future ETL

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in retail management.
• Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the store salesfloor and backroom, aligning the team on daily priorities.
• Work with the Executive Team Lead (ETL) mentor and other leaders to understand roles.
• Lead daily huddles with peer/leadership teams.
• Plan daily goals and organize plans within the store.
• Provide exceptional guest experience and address guest needs.
• Assist in developing team and driving store priorities to improve performance.
