Job summary

Target is offering a paid internship in a Target store for leadership development. The role focuses on leading a retail team, driving guest experience, and learning all aspects of store operations under mentorship.

You will collaborate with managers and teammates to develop leadership skills, lead daily huddles, and contribute to sales and service goals, while maintaining compliance and inclusivity across the store.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in retail management and guest service.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a retail team within a Target store in a 40-hour/week internship.
• Drive guest experience and store performance.
• Lead daily huddles and plan daily goals and actions.
• Coach, train, and provide feedback to team members.
• Spend time on sales floor and backroom guiding daily priorities.
• Review reports and guest insights to identify opportunities.
• Ensure safe, ethical, inclusive store operations.
