Talent Solutions Partners partnered with a regional healthcare system to recruit a full-time Hospital PACU RN for their surgical services division in Great Falls, MT. The role emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong teamwork, and robust administrative support in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will perform pre-operative prep, post-anesthesia recovery, wound/line care, pain control, observation unit care, and discharge planning while collaborating with Providers,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective/outpatient procedures with safety checks.
• Phase I Recovery: monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway and vitals; perform neurological checks.
• Advanced Visual & Device Care: monitor post-op patients with chest tubes, lines, and short-term ventilator support.
• Wound & Line Management: surveil wounds, dressings, drains, and incisions to prevent complications.
• Symptom & Pain Control: titrate IV medications; manage PANV; use warming devices.
• Observation Unit Care: care for observation patients from ED to post-surgical status.
• Collaborative Leadership: coordinate with Providers, Anesthesia, Nurse Managers, and Charge Nurses; guide LPNs/CNAs.
• Discharge & Transfer Planning: use Aldrete or similar scores for home discharge or hand-offs to inpatient units.
