Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in Great Falls, MT to join a hospital-based perioperative team. The role emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong administrative support, and collaborative leadership within an outpatient surgical setting.

Qualified candidates will have an ADN (BSN preferred), MT RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and 2–4 years of acute care experience, with ICU exposure highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• RN licensure in Montana (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required on hire.
• 2–4 years of acute hospital nursing experience (Medical/Surgical or Critical Care).
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, and optimize pre-op patients for elective procedures.
• Monitor and stabilize post-op patients; manage airway and ventilation as needed.
• Care for high-acuity post-operative patients with lines and short-term ventilation.
• Wound, drain, and line management; monitor incisions and drains.
• Titrate IV medications for postoperative pain; manage PANV and hypothermia.
• Coordinate care plans with Providers, Anesthesia, and Nurse Managers; supervise junior staff.
• Discharge planning and hand-off reporting using standardized scoring (Aldrete).
