SteveRecruiter, LLC is assisting a prominent regional health system in filling a full-time, on-site PACU RN position in Great Falls, Montana. This hospital-based role offers strong nurse-to-patient ratios, supportive administration, and a culture of teamwork and compassion in perioperative care.

You will perform pre-operative preparation, post-anesthesia recovery, airway management, wound care, and symptom control, with opportunities to work with chest tubes, central lines, and short-term

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Montana RN license (or eligibility for endorsement).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required on hire.
• 2–4 years hospital experience in acute medical/surgical or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, and optimize pre-op patients with safety checklists.
• Monitor and stabilize post-anesthesia patients; manage airway and extubation.
• Care for high-acuity post-op patients with lines and short-term ventilation.
• Surveil wounds, drains, and incisions; prevent complications.
• Titrate IV analgesics; manage PANV; control hypothermia.
• Care for observation patients from ED to post-surgical status.
• Coordinate care plans with providers and nursing staff.
• Discharge planning with standardized scoring for home clearance.
