Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Hospital PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in Great Falls, MT for full-time, on-site work within a hospital PACU setting. The role emphasizes supportive nurse-to-patient ratios, strong teamwork, and an environment focused on compassionate care.

Responsibilities include pre-op prep, post-anesthesia recovery, chest/line management, pain control, and discharge planning, with shifts 6:00 AM–7:30 PM and a shared rotation schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana (or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required upon hire.
• Minimum 2–4 years of acute Medical/Surgical or Critical Care hospital experience.
• Preferred: dedicated background with Critical Care (ICU) workflows).
• Advanced nursing skills: asepsis, IV insertion/management, and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: assess, admit, and optimize patients for elective/outpatient procedures; ensure pre-op checklists and safety parameters.
• Phase I Recovery: monitor and stabilize patients waking from anesthesia; manage airway, ventilation, hemodynamics, and neurological checks.
• Advanced Visual & Device Care: monitor higher-acuity post-op patients with chest tubes, lines, and short-term ventilator support (training provided).
• Wound & Line Management: surveil wounds, dressings, incisions, drains to prevent complications.
• Symptom & Pain Control: titrate IV meds for post-op pain, PANV, and temperature management.
