St. David's HealthCare is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide immediate post-operative care in a dynamic surgical unit.

You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, and deliver wound care while coordinating with the surgical team. This role requires on-call availability during select non-business hours and emphasizes patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license (Texas)
• ACLS and BCLS must be completed within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse (RN) and RN Diploma are required

Aufgaben

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU setting.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia team, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment to provide safe care.
• Monitor airway, neuro and cardiac status, document changes accurately.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
