Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, TX seeks an experienced RN to join the PACU with responsibilities including airway management, neurological and cardiac monitoring, and prompt response to post-operative complications.

This PRN position includes on-call availability during select non-business hours, collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams, and access to our Enhanced Surgical Recovery program and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 90 days of start date
• BLS required within 30 days of start date
• PALS required within 30 days of start date
• RN licensure as a registered nurse
• Associate Degree required

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety
• Monitor airway, neurological, and cardiac status and respond to complications
• Document changes in patient condition and care provided during shift
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps
