Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond quickly to complications.

You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams, provide initial wound care, and ensure patient stability during recovery with on-call availability for select non-business hours.

Qualifications

• RN license required with BSN or diploma/associate degree.
• ACLS within 60 days of start date; BCLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe recovery.
• Independently monitor patients, document changes, and respond to complications.
• Provide initial wound care and maintain patient stability during recovery.
• Be available for on-call coverage during select non-business hours.
