Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients.

You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient stability during recovery. The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours, with shifts of 10 hours (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM) four weeknights per week.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Critical Care or PACU experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license required; ADN or BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams and unit leaders.
• Apply the nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Monitor patient condition, document changes, and respond to complications.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment and follow-up.
