Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, Texas, seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to manage immediate post-operative care. You will monitor airway, neurological and cardiac status, respond to complications, and provide initial wound care while coordinating with surgical and anesthesia teams.

The schedule includes four weeknight shifts per week, 10 hours each, 9p–7:30a, with on-call availability discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS certification within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse licensure.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year of Critical Care or PACU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Apply the nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Assess patient condition, monitor and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
