Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is seeking a PRN PACU Nurse to support postoperative care for surgical patients. The role emphasizes airway management, neurological and cardiac monitoring, wound care, and collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams during recovery.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with 1+ year in critical care and relevant certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS). On-call expectations will be discussed at interview, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and

Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee.
At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/ER/PACU).
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within required timeframes.
PRN scheduling and on-call responsibilities as discussed.
Strong collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered PACU care following evidence-based practices.
Monitor neurological and cardiac status and respond to complications.
Educate patients and families about post-anesthesia care and follow-up plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team during recovery to optimize outcomes.
Document changes and care provided thoroughly in the medical record.
