Job summary

Novi Surgery Center in Novi, MI seeks a skilled perioperative nurse to provide direct patient care from pediatric through geriatric populations in the postoperative unit. You will monitor vitals, assess physiological status, document findings, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to optimize recovery.

The role requires adherence to policies, participation in quality improvement, and commitment to patient confidentiality and safety throughout the perioperative period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (or within six months of hire).
• Minimum two years PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physiological health status of patients post-operatively.
• Monitor vital signs and post-anesthesia recovery parameters.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient status.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and privacy.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality initiatives.
