Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in the PreOp PACU role to support preoperative and postoperative assessments and care. You will interpret monitors, develop individualized perianesthesia care plans, and coordinate hand-offs to ensure seamless recovery.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to clinical policies, and effective communication with the surgical team. A valid nursing license and PACU experience are required; ACLS/PALS may be necessary depending on pediatric care needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and valid state licensure.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret noninvasive and invasive monitors accurately.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide hand-off reports and coordinate care across teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control and pain management.
