Job summary

Infor in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care for patients in the Surgery unit. You will perform initial patient assessments, document pre-op orders, and deliver post-op recovery care. Essential qualifications include current Michigan RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 12 months of hire.

BSN is preferred, with 2 years’ PACU/ICU/ER experience encouraged. Working conditions may involve exposure to infectious diseases.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license required.
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association/ACLS required.
• PALS certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients in the Surgery unit.
• Perform initial patient assessments and document pre-operative orders.
• Carry out post-operative recovery care.
• Assist in patient education during all phases of the patient’s experience.
• Appropriately document patient care.
• Evaluate and complete assessments of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after surgery.
• Oversee admission, assessment and preparation of patients.
• Continuously monitor patients during the recovery phase.
• Provide discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.
