Job summary

SCA Health in Clinton Charter Township, MI is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across preoperative and postoperative stages. You will assess patient status, interpret monitors, and develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.

You’ll implement the plan, manage recovery from anesthesia, document care, communicate updates to the team, and participate in quality improvement initiatives—working to protect patient safety and promote healing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) within 90 days.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan of care including managing recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Provide hand‑off report to teammates with concise, pertinent information.
• Document nursing care completely and accurately.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as needed.
