Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles seeks a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver care using the nursing process and coordinate patient education for families in a compassionate perioperative environment.

Qualifications

• BSN degree in Nursing required; grandfathered BSN if hired before 12/2019.
• Minimum 1 year PACU experience or 1 year in a high-acuity ICU.
• Strong English reading/writing/speaking skills.
• Ability to follow policies and provide patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and education using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care in the PACU setting with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with surgeon, nurses and staff to ensure smooth recovery.
• Explain health treatments to patients and families; teach and advocate for patients.
• Utilize Cerner Millennium to place physician orders and document care.
