Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient/family centered care in a 12-hour shift environment, following the Watson Model of Care. You will collaborate with the Clinical Unit Supervisor to organize, plan and coordinate care for a defined patient population.

Requirements include a BSN, at least one year in critical care, BLS and ACLS, plus EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care.
• BSN required; individuals hired without a BSN will need to complete a degree program within 5 years of hire.
• Current BLS and ACLS; Post Anesthesia Nursing certification preferred; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates use of nursing processes to assess and plan care for patient/family needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care; ensures follow-through with planned care.
• Delivers age-appropriate nursing care and uses evidence-based practice.
• Communicates using SBAR during hand-offs and with the care team.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary discharge planning with Care Managers.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and adheres to regulatory standards.
