Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks a skilled Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) for 12-hour shifts in the ICU. You will organize, plan, direct, and coordinate patient care based on the Watson Model of Care and deliver high-quality, family-centered services.

The role requires a minimum of one year of nursing experience (Med/Surg/Telemetry preferred), BLS and ACLS, and may favor bilingual Spanish speakers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; ADN or diploma acceptable.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience; Med/Surg/Telemetry preferred.
• Basic EKG competence.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Certification in Progressive Critical Care or Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process to anticipate and meet patient and family needs.
• Performs focused nursing assessments and plans care accordingly.
• Delivers age-appropriate care and applies current literature to decisions.
• Maintains SBAR communication during hand-offs.
• Documents IPOC and evaluates outcomes using Watson Model.
• Supports discharge planning and care coordination with care managers.
