Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse to provide high-quality, patient/family centered care on a defined unit. The RN will work under the Clinical Unit Supervisor, using the Watson Model of Care to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients over 12-hour shifts.

Requirements include a BSN or enrollment to complete within 5 years, 1 year of critical care experience, BLS and ACLS certification, and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality, individualized patient/family centered care based on the Watson Model of Care.
• Demonstrates nursing processes to anticipate and plan for patient and family needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care and ensures follow-through with planned care.
• Maintains patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates discharge planning and works with Care Managers as needed.
