Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn the full sales lifecycle and support the sales team in generating new leads within a designated region. You will focus on growing revenue, maintaining customer relationships, and delivering tailored packaging solutions and quotes.

The role emphasizes proactive prospecting, problem-solving, and strong communication as you develop accounts across industries and contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in new sales/business development.
• Packaging experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship building.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.

Responsibilities

• Generate new leads by researching networking, cold calling, and prospecting.
• Increase revenue and profitability through new business and account development.
• Execute sales initiatives to grow sales and profitability within accounts.
• Assist clients in establishing sustainable packaging supply chains.
• Understand complex requirements from customers for quotes and solutions.
• Manage customer projects across various industries.
• Educate clients on industry innovations and solutions.
• Maintain a positive customer experience to drive repeat business.
