Job summary

RRD is hiring a Packaging Specialist in Buffalo Grove, IL to assist with daily shipping/receiving activities, material movement, and order fulfillment. You will handle shipments via FedEx/UPS/USPS, check documents, and maintain records.

The role requires basic computer skills and ability to operate material handling equipment. Responsibilities include packing, loading, and coordinating with suppliers and production teams, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• General knowledge of materials tracking systems and reporting systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use software programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily shipping department activities including materials movement, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, and shipping printed products.
• Prepare and ship customer samples and finished products via FedEx, UPS, USPS and other carriers.
• Check goods against shipping documents, pack according to specifications, and prepare bills of lading.
• Receive materials, unload trucks, verify against bills of lading and packing slips, and maintain records.
• Support manufacturing areas per standard procedures and maintain files and documentation.
• Utilize material handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and production; coordinate with departments.
