Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an experienced Packaging Sales Manager to lead and develop an established sales team within the packaging industry. This leadership role focuses on strategy, account growth, and maximizing profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales management experience, a deep understanding of packaging products, and proven ability to drive revenue growth without managing a personal sales territory.

Qualifications

• Packaging industry experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, including direct supervision, coaching, and development of sales teams.
• Proven success improving sales performance, increasing revenue, and maximizing profitability.
• Strong understanding of packaging products, industry practices, pricing, and customer relationships.
• Experience overseeing sales forecasts, gross margins, pricing strategies, and account performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve revenue, profitability, and performance goals.
• Establish sales strategies, team objectives, and accountability measures.
• Monitor sales forecasts, revenue trends, account performance, and key performance indicators.
• Strengthen existing customer relationships and identify opportunities to maximize account growth and retention.
• Oversee pricing strategies, gross margins, and profitability.
• Support the sales team with customer negotiations, account management, and business development strategies.
• Utilize NetSuite or comparable systems to track sales performance and generate reports.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Inventory, and Accounting to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, team productivity, and overall business performance.
• Travel occasionally as business needs require.
