Tempus AI is seeking an Area Sales Director for the Pacific Northwest region (Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming). You will lead a team of 6–8 Account Executives to expand sales of genetic diagnostic testing services across hospitals, clinics and physician offices.

You will negotiate contracts, visit customers, deliver presentations and drive multi-state sales strategies. A BS degree and 7+ years of sales leadership in lab services are expected; travel is 50%+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals.
• 7+ years managerial experience in sales.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 6-8 Account Executives and Senior Account Executives.
• Create and implement effective sales strategies for Account Executives.
• Provide leadership through communication of vision, coaching and development while tracking goals.
• Supervise via field visits and observations.
• Maintain competitive knowledge to adapt sales strategies.
• Manage sales territory and national expansion in major metros.
• Expand program offerings in existing accounts.
• Sell genetic diagnostic testing services to new customers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts.
• Introduce new testing products.
• Develop customer-specific action plans and deliver presentations.
• Host and assist with trade shows; manage customer data.
• Achieve sales goals; perform other duties as assigned.
