Job summary

Meijer Inc. is preparing to open a new Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL supercenter serving the St. Louis Metro area in Spring 2027. We seek an engaged Overnight Stocking Manager to lead team members in onboarding, training, and coaching, while driving staffing and succession planning for a brand-new store.

The role focuses on accountable area operations, budget oversight, and performance. Travel for training is required until store opening, with competitive pay and strong benefits."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates commitment to safe working practices and strong merchandising knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure effective onboarding, training and development.
• Identify talent and discuss career progression to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Conduct candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and enable growth within the organization.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budget items in P&L.
• Drive safety/compliance and manage store conditions and procedures.
• Coach Leads and Team Leaders to assign daily tasks and training needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
